For many years now people have been smoking marijuana and cigarettes. One thing I have not been able to understand is how cigarettes are legal but marijuana is not. It is a proven fact that no person in the whole world has ever died because of the use of marijuana, where in the other hand the number 1 killer out there are people smoking cigarettes. I believe that Marijuana should be legalized so that younger generations would grow up to smoking marijuana cigarettes. now I'm not saying that smoking is a good thing to do, all I'm saying is that if they start smoking, they would start smoking weed instead of tobacco. That would be better because that way people will live longer since it won't cause cancer, and also young teens would learn to smoke a marijuana cigarette and not tobacco. Nobody has ever died from Marijuana, it does not cause cancer or even emphysema like cigarettes do, the only thing that is actually harmful to the human body when smoking marijuana is simply the smoke of it which is still not as bad as cigarette smoke. Marijuana is all natural, it is just a plant where as cigarettes contain heaps of harmful substances such as cleaning liquid, tar and nicotine. Also, Marijuana is not addictive and you can stop smoking it at any time you want, where as cigarettes are much much harder to quit smoking. In the overall view, cigarettes are simply much worse for your health due to all of the unnatural toxins and chemicals in them but if a person has respiratory problems or asthma etc. I would in my opinion avoid smoking anything and if a person would really like to use marijuana he or she should consider eating it through baked goods.
Without going into detail, I agree that cigarettes are way more harmful and that marijuana should be legalized. I'll be interested to see what your classmates think.
ReplyDeleteI myself have never had an experience with cigarettes or Marijuana.I agree with you when you say Marijuana is better thought. I love how talked about the pros and cons about marijuana you made a strong point when you said you never hear that people die of it.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion cigarettes are strongly bad for the health, and I can't smell the smoke of cigarette because I'm allergic to it. I don't agree that marijuana should be legalized because I don't like the idea that new generations will be using it, but people smoke it anyways there is no way to stop the use of marijuana. I would like that Cigarettes should be prohibited. But cigarettes are causing a lot of deaths whether people smoke or not they're dying.
